A What

Form a circle (sitting down or standing up).  Begin by passing an object to the person on your right while saying "This is a what."  That person asks, "A what?" before taking the object.  You respond, "A what."  Then that person receives the object while saying, "Oh, a what!" before turning to the person on their right and continuing on in the same manner.

See how long it takes to get the object around the circle.  Try introducing new objects:  a "who", a "which", etc.  Try sending objects in opposite directions.

*If you are playing with younger children, you may wish to simplify this by having the players use the actual name of the object, such as, "This is a pencil." "A what?"  "A pencil."  "Oh, a pencil!"
